Temple incense, storm-struck wood, and a cross: a rosary for more than one path.
Agar Wood rounds with small turquoise-composite spacers lead back to a single bead of Lightning Wood (雷击木, lei ji mu), wood marked by a genuine lightning strike, and finish at a cross pendant carved from black Hetian jade (墨玉, mo yu). The incense wood of Buddhist temples, the storm charm of the mountains, and the crucifix, on one cord. For someone whose path runs through more than one tradition.
Meaning: Lightning-struck wood is treasured in Chinese folk tradition as wood touched by heaven itself: protection, awe, and a reminder of what stands above the everyday.
Scent: The Agar Wood leads, resin-sweet and deep. The lightning-struck wood adds a faint sharp woody note of its own.
Feel: Warm agar rounds broken by cool slick spacers, ending at the single lightning bead: denser, darker, and faintly rougher under your thumb.
Care: Wood and jade. No soaking. Dry or barely-damp cloth. Store in a pouch.
